I've finally come to a decision about what I plan to do as the first steps forward in my career and life. I'm quiting Comfort Inn after Persa and I'm going to start working my ass off (literally) to lose weight, take a few summer classes in July (it's a little late to sign up for June plus I'd rather use June to get back to a normal sleep schedule) and work to finishing up by December graduating from Gadsden State with an Associate's Degree in Art. Once all that is finished up and I've got my weight down to where it needs to be, I'm joining the Air Force. It's THE BEST option open to me to go through a 4yr program to get a degree in something else because they PAY for my schooling and it's also a great opportunity to see the world and pretty much get paid to do it. Also, the air force is the best out of the five branches. They treat you like a human being and not another form of US property. No offense toward those who've chosen the Marines or the Army but being a military brat (Dad was in the Army) and knowing what those branches are like, I'd much prefer to be in the Air Force.

I've given it A LOT of thought over several years in my life and that's what I'm going to work toward. I'm also thinking about majoring in Psychology and/or Sociology with a minor in Religious studies. Not really that sure about the minor, it's just a thought really. It might turn out to be a minor in something like Japanese for all I know. The minor I can work out later on but I'm pretty sure about the major. I've been thinking about it for the past few months now and I can easily see myself a military officer.

And these plans aren't exactly SET IN STONE but right now... it's a start and I'm determined enough to work my ass off to get there. The simple mundane life is not for me and I've had my fill of it just from working a little over half a year at the shitty hotel in which I'm currently employed. It's a get nowhere fast, dead end job and I'm through with it.

I do know from experience that the Air Force is a good track to take for women. Not that they're "easy" but that it's better suited. You would do well, I think.

Religious studies, of course, being my major, I'm biased, but go for it. Psych should be fun, too.

I'm always telling people that if they feel strongly about a decision that could change their lives and if they believe that it is what they need, that they should absolutely go for it.

...so, given that you've put a lot of thought into this, that you've realised that you deserve better, you know what I'm about to say. :D

Seriously, I can tell that you really want this for yourself, and I believe you should go through with this. I'm glad to hear that you're really putting a lot of thought into this.
